Last week, two North American green ammonia projects made moves in regard to procuring equipment. For a project in Quebec, the Canadian branch of Germany’s Hy2gen has contracted Plug Power to supply a 275-megawatt (MW) protein exchange membrane (PEM) electrolyzer system for its plant. In Texas, First Ammonia issued a request for proposals (RFP) for electrolysis equipment needed for a plant at the Port of Victoria.
