The purpose of the Monastery of Christ in the Desert, in Northern New Mexico, is to be a place where people can experience the divine. But as Charles Osgood reported in this May 19, 1996 “Sunday Morning” report, it was also branching out to the internet, as both a business and to educate others about the Benedictine monks’ mission.
