Milton Keynes Development PartnershipA “world-class” £76m entertainment venue could be built in Milton Keynes.
Milton Keynes Development Partnership (MKDP), run by the city council, said ATG Entertainment (ATG) would operate the 4,000-capacity site at the Old Bus Station, Elder Gate.
ATG has operated Milton Keynes Theatre since it opened in 1999, but the proposed new venue would allow for “larger-scale music performances and live experiences”.
MKDP said it was investing £76m in the project, which will go to public consultation later this year. It could open in 2029.
The closest comparable venue is Arena MK, which holds up to 5,000 people.
MKDP estimates the new venue will attract more than 300,000 visitors annually and create about 70 new jobs.

Nick Potter, chief operating officer for ATG Entertainment, said he was excited to “create a world-class destination”.
