January 6, 2026–Written by Amir Richani for IIR News (Sugar Land, Texas)–Petrobras (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) has announced the first oil from the P-78 platform, the seventh production platform at the Buzios oil field in the Santos Basin offshore Rio de Janeiro. With P-78, the field will reach an operational oil production capacity of 1.15 million barrels of oil per day (BBL/d).
