November 19, 2025–Written by Daniel Graeber for Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)–An application to the U.S. federal government seeks permission to more than double the export capacity at the Plaquemines LNG facility in Louisiana, operator Venture Global (Arlington, Virginia) said.
Venture Global late Monday announced it filed an application with the Federal Energy Regulatory Committee (FERC) to increase the export capacity of liquefied natural gas (LNG) by 30 million metric tons per year (MTPA), adding on to the 28 MTPA that’s already been sanctioned.
