The withdrawal of the southwest monsoon from North India has brought a change in weather conditions across Delhi-NCR, with mornings and evenings turning mildly cool even as daytime temperatures remain warm.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the monsoon has completely withdrawn from Delhi-NCR. The national capital is expected to witness dry and sunny weather on Saturday, with no rain or drizzle forecast in any part of the city.
Winds are likely to blow at around 20-22 kmph during the day, helping keep temperatures from rising sharply. Westerly winds are expected to weaken to around 15 kmph during the evening and night.
Recent rainfall in Delhi-NCR and neighbouring states has brought down both maximum and minimum temperatures, resulting in a noticeable coolness during the morning and nighttime hours.
The IMD has forecast a maximum temperature of around 36 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 24 degrees Celsius in Delhi on Saturday. Similar weather conditions are expected from October 3 to 5, with no significant change likely during the period.
No significant rainfall or storm activity has been forecast over Delhi-NCR during the period.
