Crude oil futures rise tracking global trends

Crude oil prices rose Rs 196 to Rs 9,268 per barrel in futures trade on Tuesday amid positive global trends.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil futures for November delivery rose Rs 196, or 2.16 per cent, to Rs 9,268 per barrel in a business turnover of 11,668 lots.

Analysts said the rise in bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trade.

Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude was trading at USD 97.76 per barrel, up 1.35 per cent. Brent crude was higher by 1.56 per cent at USD 106.40 per barrel in New York.
