A woman whose “siesta a day” is credited as her secret to a long and happy life has celebrated her 105th birthday.
Dora Horsfall, who was born on 2 November 1921, was joined by family earlier as she marked her special day at Flowers Manor Care Home in Chippenham, Wiltshire.
Describing her grandmother Dora as a “beautiful soul” who “likes to sleep”, Mandy Cheeseman said: “I think that could be why she’s so preserved, because she has a siesta every day, even when we were little ones.”
Dora said the “the great thing” from her birthday celebrations had been “rejoicing” with her loved ones.
