Man struck off for doing nursing shifts at Prospect Park Hospital

He said he had worked the shifts “under the belief that the roles assigned” by the Your World healthcare agency “were appropriate to my level of experience and training”.

The NMC said he had been dishonest because he knew he was not qualified to complete the shifts “but did so anyway”.

It said he had “sought to deflect blame onto the agency” for booking him onto shifts and that his conduct “could have put patients at significant risk of harm”.

The NMC said Asabre worked for the Oxford Health NHS Trust as a healthcare assistant between September 2021 and July 2022.

He was qualified to work as a nursing associate.

The agency was contacted to comment.
