The Clitheroe cafe that has not changed a bit since the 1970s

A café that has not changed since the 1970s has gone viral online after a visitor posted a video asking if it was the most old fashioned café in the country.

Colborne House Café, on Wellgate in Clitheroe, Lancashire, is complete with original features, an unchanged kitchen and no music.

The red vinyl seating, wood panelling and Formica tables have been preserved, and decorated with lots of memorabilia.

Owner Gillian Swales said: “It’s not changed because we’ve never needed to, it just works for us.”
