Two men who stole £12,000 worth of lingerie and sex toys from an Ann Summers shop have been sentenced.
Police were called to reports of a burglary in progress at the store in Long Row in Nottingham city centre at 04:32 BST on 14 August.
Nottinghamshire Police said Jason Kamal and Ashley Hillsley were detained nearby, and a search of Hillsley’s car uncovered a “considerable amount” of Ann Summers products worth £12,059 in the boot.
Kamal, 48, of no fixed address, and Hillsley, 21, of Big Barn Lane in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, were both sentenced for burglary at Nottingham Crown Court on Thursday.
According to police, Kamal initially denied entering the Ann Summers shop despite his face being visible on CCTV.
Meanwhile, Hillsley said he was “bullied into the burglary” and his primary role was to be on the lookout and assist.
He was told he would receive a large amount of money, and would no longer be a “nobody”, the force added.
