The inquest heard Williamson arrived at the Peveril Homes housing development in East Bridgford to deliver bags of gravel at about 15:00.
Giving evidence, Simon Green, a forklift driver who was working on the site, said he directed Williamson where he needed to go.
He added he was flagged down by another colleague shortly after due to an incident involving Williamson.
Green said: “I went to his lorry and I asked him if he was alright and he said he was crushed.
“He was on the back of the flatbed, laying down. He was moving and I kept telling him to stay still.
“He kept saying ‘crushed, crane’,” Green said.
Green told the inquest that his colleague, who had called 999, was initially told the wait for an ambulance would be two hours.
“[My colleague] shouted ‘hurry up, you need to get here quicker’,” he added.
The inquest heard an ambulance arrived shortly after workers on the site began performing CPR on Williamson, who had suffered a cardiac arrest.
Forensic pathologist Dr Stuart Hamilton, who examined Williamson following his death, told the jury he had “significant” injuries to his pelvic area and lower abdomen.
Hamilton said Williamson’s injuries were consistent with being crushed.
The inquest heard Williamson had previously suffered a heart attack and was fitted with a stent.
Hamilton concluded that in his opinion, Williamson’s pelvic injuries led to his cardiac arrest, while his heart problems “contributed” to his death.
He added the severity of Williamson’s heart health would not have caused the cardiac arrest, and that the severity of his pelvic injuries alone would not have caused his immediate death.
The inquest continues.
