Communities across Yorkshire have come together to mark Remembrance Sunday and honour the lives of those killed in service.
Families, military personnel, veterans and local groups held services to observe the national two-minute silence, and lay wreaths at war memorials around the region.
In Leeds, hundreds of people watched as a parade of ex-servicemen and women and serving military personnel marched through the city to Millennium Square.
Among those taking part was 91-year-old Kenneth Naylor, from Leeds, who spoke of his “honour” at being one of the flag-bearers at the event.
“It is getting harder now,” the army veteran said of the role, but added it was still important to carry the tradition on, saying “it is going to die if we don’t”.
Naylor said he had been a standard-bearer for 40 years, including at military funerals.
